*RECENTLY ADOPTED PETS*  Who We Are:Animal Allies is for animals! Our non-profit advocacy organization focuses on rescue, foster home-care, and adoption of homeless dogs and cats. Our volunteers care for animals that require extended care prior to adoption: the abused, sick, injured, orphaned or nursing. We address issues that affect owned and shelter populations, such as spay/neuter, animal health and community education. Our outreach program directly alleviates animal suffering and overpopulation, offering low-cost spay/neuter services, medical treatment, food, and other supportive services to owned pets in threatened circumstances. Our mission is to stop animal suffering. We offer our assistance when there is a need for spay/neuter, education, and supportive services.Adoptions:An adoption profile, personal interview, check of references, and adoption contract are required. All animals receive veterinary checkups, vaccinations, deworming and spay/neuter. Cats are tested for FELV/FIV, and dogs are tested for heartworm. Animals requiring further veterinary treatment receive whatever is needed. We provide post-adoption assistance to ensure that the adoption of every new pet will be a positive and loving experience for everyone involved. Please note that our online list of pets for adoption is updated daily and we do our best to stay current.And.... What About Those Pit Bulls?
Donations:Help us aid both the homeless animals and the owned pets in crisis who have no one else to turn to. Your tax-deductible donation in any amount mailed to our Pennington address helps us fight the good fight! Animal Allies has an all-volunteer staff. Although we are state and federally registered, we are not affiliated with any governmental entity, and rely on the kindness and donations of adopters and others in our community. Volunteers who donate their time and homes for foster care for dogs or cats are needed most. If you would like to be a foster parent, stop by Petsmart and visit with us any Sunday, or send us an email. Sunday volunteers are very important to us as well. They help us show our pets, talk with visitors, and care for the animals while they are at Petsmart or elsewhere. High-quality food, toys and treats, towels and blankets, cleaning supplies, and crates and carriers are always needed and appreciated. Doghouses, overhead cables and bedding straw are needed for our community outreach program.Fees:Puppies: $250 and UpDogs: $250 and up Kittens & Cats: $110 Adoption fees for purebreds are scaled. Our adoption fees are based upon our veterinary medical expenses for all our pets. Hours:Private hours are very flexible and by appointment. We also participate in Pet Adoption Day at PetsMart (609-520-9200) on Sundays, from 12-3 PM, next to WalMart at 111 Nassau Park Boulevard, (off Route 1 South) Princeton, NJ 08540-5918 (near Quakerbridge Mall).Online Educational ServicesAre you a teenager who loves animals and wants to do everything you can to help them?
